PayID
A PayID is a phone number, email address or ABN that you can securely link to your bank account. You can use the PayID instead of your BSB and Account Number.
Easy Street members are able to register for a PayID via their Internet Banking or mobile banking app. All you need is - mobile number or an email address.
Your mobile number or email address must be correct with Easy Street.
• Login to your internet banking
• Select ‘my preferences’ and ‘Manage PayID’
• Once in the ‘Manage PayID’ screen, simply follow the steps within your internet banking or mobile app to create your PayID, this will be linked to your bank account. The ‘Manage PayID’ screen will look different to the current Easy Street Internet Banking screen.
When someone wants to pay you, simply give them your PayID. If that person banks with an institution that doesn’t offer PayID yet, they can still pay using your BSB and account number.
The easiest way is to contact us direct 1300 13 14 65.
Safety and security
Your PayID will be created within your usual online or mobile banking. Your information is stored in a secure encrypted data repository.
When you give a person your PayID, they cannot use it to withdraw money from your account. When they use it in their own participating online or mobile banking to pay you, the only information they will see is the name you have provided to describe that PayID, such as your own name or the name of your business. A PayID on its own cannot be used to create a false identity.
Transferring money
A PayID can only be linked to one account at any given time.
Yes, multiple PayID types can be linked to the same account. For example you could link an email PayID and a phone number PayID to the same account.
